Active classroom discussions, brainstorming of solutions to keep the classroom atmosphere lively and encourage participation.
Overview: Discussion is important to learning in all disciplines because it helps students process information rather than simply receive it. Leading a discussion requires skills different from lecturing. The goal of a discussion is to get students to practice thinking about the course material. Your role becomes that of facilitator. You design and facilitate the discussion rather than convey information. If you want to hold a discussion, don’t do all the talking yourself; don’t lecture to the group or talk to one student at a time.
Regular weekly exams to assess the students.
Demonstration of videos to further deepen the understanding of concepts.
Individual attention to each of the students by assigning them to mentors and monitoring their progress.
Extensive study hours to improve the weak students academically.
Discussion of tips and tricks for competitive exams by both internal and external faculty.
Feedback mechanism to auto correct the discrepancies in the teaching, if any.
Feedback is a compelling influence on learner achievement. When teachers seek or at least are open to what learners know, what they understand, where they make errors, when they have misconceptions when they are not engaged- then teaching and learning can be synchronised and powerful.
Regular motivational and academic sessions for staff to keep their passion high.
Motivation, as parents and teachers know, often varies depending on the setting, the people involved, the task and the situation. A child with a learning disability may be a very reluctant reader who resists reading a science assignment or writing the homework assignment but eagerly absorb all the teacher shows about vaporization of water in a science class. The key for each learner is to find that which motivates.
Personality development and motivational sessions for students.
Personality Development should start early in a student's life which is a true reflection of their inner being. It can be defined as a set of traits that shape the inner and outer being in a person with organised pattern of behaviour that makes a person distinctive. Character, behavior, attitude and environment are some of the qualities that shape an individual's persona. It helps gain confidence, self-esteem, positive impact on one's communication skills and the way one sees the world. Students should develop an outgoing and impressive personality that will enhance the quality of learning.
Encourage children to participate in sports and cultural activities both in our college and other colleges.
Annual picnic and educational tours for the students to give them a change of atmosphere.
